Ludwig A. Hothorn, born in 1949, worked as a biostatistician in the pharmaceutical industry and for the German Cancer Research Centre. Since 1993, he was Professor at the Leibniz University Hannover, where he retired in 2017. His research focusses on statistical methods for toxicology and clinical development.
