Prof. Lee-Thedieck and Prof. Rudorf from the Institute of Cell Biology and Biophysics were involved in presenting Leibniz University Hannover’s concept as part of its application for University of Excellence status. Prof. Lee-Thedieck supported the lab tour of the Future Lab Health, while Prof. Rudorf contributed to the presentation of the proposal’s key measures and, together with other early career researchers, took part in a discussion with the review panel. Overall, the site visit was an extremely successful and motivating event that impressively showcased the intensive exchange within the university. Regardless of the outcome of the review, the Excellence process has already provided valuable impetus and fostered new connections across institutes, faculties, and academic career stages.
