We are pleased to announce the publication of our review article "The Extracellular Matrix of Hematopoietic Stem Cell Niches" published in "Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews".
In this review, a systematic overview of the different molecules of the extracellular matrix (ECM) of the hematopoietic stem cell niche is given. The enzymes by which the ECM can be remodeled and the role of biophysical signals in the ECM of the hematopoietic stem cell niche are described. Furthermore, different approaches to create artificial stem cell niches for different applications are mentioned and the importance of the ECM in drug development and testing is discussed.
