Simon Christ visited this years conference on research software engineering by the german research software engineering association (de-RSE e.V.) which was colocated with the conference on software engineering by the association for informatics (GI) in Karlsruhe.
At deRSE 25 tools for everdays problems in research software engineering were presented as well as joint sessions between research software engineers and software engineers to find common ground were held. Also new ideas and concepts to establish resarch software engineering in research processes were collected.
